Harro van Asselt
Harro van Asselt, PhD (VU University Amsterdam, cum laude), is a Professor of Climate Law and Policy with the University of Eastern Finland Law School, and a Senior Research Fellow with the Stockholm Environment Institute. He has 15 years of research experience, and is an expert on interactions between international climate change governance and other fields of international governance. Harro was a Marie Curie Fellow at the Environmental Change Institute of the University of Oxford (2010-2011), and a researcher at the Institute for Environmental Studies at the VU University Amsterdam (2002-2010).
He is the author of The Fragmentation of Global Climate Governance (Edward Elgar, 2014), and has published more than 70 book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed academic journals. He is Editor of the peer-reviewed journal Review of European, Comparative and International Environmental Law (RECIEL), Associate Editor of the Carbon & Climate Law Review (CCLR), and sits on the Editorial Board of International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics.
