Master's Degree Programme in Clinical Linguistics

The European Masters program in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL) is a 24 months full-time interdisciplinary and integrated university program at European level providing training for international students in the fields of:

  • Neurolinguistics
  • Clinical Linguistics
  • Psycholinguistics

The aim of the EMCL programme is to train highly qualified advanced students from the whole world who are excellently prepared for research work and Phd programmes in the field of Clinical Linguistics.

The research fields covered in the course of the programme are: language processing, methods and statistics, clinical and cross-linguistic aphasiology, developmental language disorders, neuroimaging, neurological rehabilitation and language therapy.

EMCL Consortium

The EMCL consortium consists of 3 participating universities:

University of Groningen is a coordinating body of the EMCL program and is responsible for the overall admission process.

The programme contains an integrated mobility scheme between the three universities mentioned above.
