Research area: Environmental biology, plant-plant and plant-insect interactions, applied entomology and microbial induced plant BVOCs
My research focuses on the agricultural technique of strip-cropping, and how it affects insect diversity, abundance, orientation and plant fitness. I seek to answer how effective biological pest management method it is and how well it can compensate for less agro-chemical use. I also study how plant microbial communities affect plant biogenic volatile emissions.
