Researcher, PhD candidate
Adrian Braun is a doctoral candidate at the University of Eastern Finland and is doing research in the field of environmental policy. His studies concentrate to a large extent on the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) inside the metal mining industry in the European Arctic, predominantly the northern territories of Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Northwest regions of the Russian Federation. In this regard, he is amongst others interested in incentives to implement CSR into corporate strategies, stakeholder dialogue and CSR standards in practice in relation to mining operations. The Kone Foundation awarded grants to this research work and is supporting Adrian currently for the third consecutive year. He is also a member of the Northern Political Economy team at the Arctic Centre/University of Lapland in the North of Finland.
