Educational Psychologist

The education psychologist works at the interface of educational advice and counselling and mental health work. The work of the educational psychologist focuses on supporting students in learning and in completing their studies and includes working with the individual, guiding study support groups as well as providing, for example, training relating to study skills. The educational psychologist supports the guidance tasks of teachers and other staff, as well as consults and trains staff in their competence area.

The educational psychologist is involved in developing and implementing well-being, counselling and student services at the University of Eastern Finland in cooperation with teachers and other staff. Educational psychologist activities support students´ well-being and promote psychological and social accessibility in studying.
