Postgraduate Medical Specialist Training, General practice

Working as a specialist in general medicine combines versatile clinical competence, a patient and people-centred approach to work, and good knowledge of the operating environment in social and health care. The continuity of treatment and the coordination of the treatment of a patient are emphasised when working in the front line of health care. The training also provides a good set of skills for preventive work and the development of operations and the operating environment. The outlook in terms of employment for specialists in general medicine is good. The study programme can be completed in six years.
