B.Sc in Clinical Nutrition

The scope of a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences is 180 study credits (ECTS), and it takes three years to complete. Annually, 30 students are selected through an entrance exam to study for a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. The primary objective of the Bachelor’s degree is to provide a student with sufficient information and skills to continue studies for a higher degree. In addition, graduates who have completed the degree have a basic knowledge of nutrition as the major subject as well as the basics of minor subjects, and preconditions for following developments in the field. Besides field-specific knowledge, the objective of the education is to develop skills for continuous learning as well as communication and language skills.

Bachelors of Health Sciences can undertake duties within the nutrition and food sector, food industry and nutrition services sector.

The majority of the teaching is in Finnish.
