The INEXCA project welcomes you to the workshop Patient and Public Involvement in Health Care Research - A Workshop to Enhance your Research Impact held in Kuopio, Finland, on 23 January 2019 at 9-16.

This workshop is designed for researchers interested in working with public, patients and carers to improve the quality, relevance and impact of their research. The overall aim of this workshop is to explore why PPI is important, how it adds value to your research and give practical advice on how best to do it. We will draw on UK and international resources to provide a toolkit to support the workshop. See the programme here.

By the end of this workshop you will:

  • understand how patients and public can get involved in research at each stage of the research process;
  • have ideas on how to facilitate involvement in research of patients, carers and the public;
  • have an opportunity to share expertise in research collaboration between patients, carers and the public;
  • understand how to improve the impact of your research.
