PhD Education

 The School of Pharmacy provides high level research training for doctoral students in our academic displines.  Aim is to train widely competent PhDs to positions in drug research, product development, monitoring and toxicology in the private and public sectors. Following post graduate degrees can be completed in School of Pharmacy: Licentiate of Science (Pharmacy), Doctor of Science (Pharmacy) and Licentiate of Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy. Approximately 10 Doctor of Science (Pharmacy) is graduating each year. the expected graduation time is four years for a student working full time.

Our post graduate students are belonging to the doctoral programmes of UEF.  The School of Pharmacy is coordinating the Doctoral progamme in Drug reseach in UEF in collaboration with FinPharmaNet network.  The director of the Doctoral Programme in Drug Research is Professor Jarkko Rautio and vice director Academy Research Fellow Anu Kauppinen.
