Bulletin from Terveystalo: Reception of patients with respiratory tract symptoms in the Kuopio and Siilinjärvi areas will be centralised to the Terveystalo clinic on Asemakatu starting 24 March
To the clients of our occupational health services,
During the coronavirus epidemic, we want to secure the safety of both your company’s personnel and the Terveystalo experts.
The reception of patients with respiratory tract symptoms in the Kuopio and Siilinjärvi areas will be centralized to the Terveystalo clinic on Asemakatu starting March 24
For the time being, we are centralizing the care of patients with respiratory tract symptoms from all clinics in the Kuopio and Siilinjärvi areas (Terveystalo Asemakatu, Terveystalo Bioteknia and Terveystalo Siilinjärvi) to the Asemakatu clinic in Kuopio. You can access the designated treatment area for patients with respiratory tract symptoms though the back entrance of the Asemakatu clinic. The route is marked with blue arrows. This way we can ensure that other patients are not needlessly exposed to contagion and that all patients can safely receive the care they need, in the Asemakatu clinic as well.
Outside of the opening hours of the clinic, we instruct anyone with respiratory tract symptoms to primarily contact our remote services, through which we will evaluate the need for treatment.
Please instruct your personnel to follow these guidelines if they suspect they have the coronavirus:
- Primarily book a calling time with the occupational healthcare doctor of your unit https://ajanvaraus.terveystalo.com/en/
- You can also contact a doctor remotely through the Doctor Chat 24/7 on the Terveystalo Oma Terveys app or by calling the Terveystalo customer service at +358 30 6000
You can find more information about the situation on our website: https://www.terveystalo.com/en/Occupational-healthcare/Current/Guidelines-to-prevent-coronavirus-infection1/ or from your own occupational nurse. (UEF KUOPIO: Susanna Liukkonen and Anni-Maria Salminen, UEF JOENSUU: Maija Partanen and Kristiina Tervo).
All of our clinics in the Kuopio area are open and, apart from these changes, serving customers normally.
Saila Haatainen, Regional Director Pasi Kotaniemi, Director, Corporate Health
Please note that the University of Eastern Finland hasn’t made coronavirus testing available via Terveystalo: Public health care takes care of testing according to its own policy definitions.
